Adventure Xstream Moab - 12 Hour
The spectacular cliffs, arches and canyons surrounding the Moab area makes for arguably the most spectacular venue of all of the races in the series. This event seems to draw athletes like no other and is expected to sell out early. What better way to start off your new year of adventure than by competing in the first race in the AdventureXstream series. The course will not disappoint, taking you through the magnificent and magical canyon country near Moab Utah!
Disciplines Included for the Moab 12 hour Adventure Race:
- River Paddle (~7-12 miles) - Flat-water River Section No Rapids
- Mountain Bike (~35-40 miles)
- Trail Run/Trek (~6-8 miles)
- UTM Plotting & Map Navigation
- Rappel (275') - Note, teams may bypass the rappel and continue in the "Adventure" class.
*Each disciplines distance is given as a range for training purposes. Exact distances are not given so that the course will remain secret. Disciplines, distances and difficulty subject to change at any time.
Approximate drive times to Moab from:
Grand Junction - 1.5 hours
Salt Lake City - 4.5 hours
Denver - 5.5 hours
Albuquerque - 6.5 hours
Las Vegas - 7 hours
Phoenix - 8.5 hours
Rappelling Skills Certificate: Required for the Moab race is completion of the "Rappelling Skills Certificate". This certificate must be handed in at racer Check-in. Click here for certificate.
Distances and Times: The exact course will be kept secret until the day before the event. Distance for the entire course is approximately 55-60 miles.
Unsupported: This race will be done without a support crew. Teams will do a gear drop prior to the start of the race. See race updates for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities - Have family or friends coming with nothing to do? Put them to work. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the race. Volunteers who help the full day receive a $100 race voucher that can be used by anyone. Have them fill out our volunteer application here.
